I see it as nothing more than the cheapest way to get a Ferrari V6 in a car, next to the Giulia Quazimodo.

crap build quality, probably broken in that picture, horrible resale value....I mean if you desperately want a badge and have no concept of money, do it.

I think you would be better off with a Guilia Q uadrifoglio

Disagree with that characterization. I love Maseratis. I do not care for Ferrari. It’s not just the engine to me. I love Maserati style, and its take on luxury.

You’re better off in a D odge charger.
The interior is far better.

It’s like a Mercedes CLA. Built purely for people who want a late model badge at the cheapest price possible. Except the Ghibli isn’t cheap. For the price of a new Ghibli Q4, you could get a CPO W222 S63, a car that is better in basically every metric. https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/cpo/inventory/zip-55331/dealerId-45105/bodystyle-SDN/class-S/model-S63V4/vin-WDDUG7JB5FA138227 It makes negative sense to spend money on really any new Maserati, but the Ghibli is in a class of its own when it comes to wasting money.

Couple of rich foreign
kids on my campus have them. I like to watch them pass me illegally and I like their sounds. They depreciate faster than a gallon of milk, though.

Looks great, sounds great, the Giulia is better in every meaningful metric.

Still not a fan of the Pennywise steering wheel

But its so happy!

I’ve actually never been a fan of the Ghibli’s looks. It’s unnecessarily square. The Quattroporte looks similar but a million times better.

I gave Land Rover and Lotus crap before. I don’t regret anything I said. Now that I’m at fezza though.... Maserati built from the early 2000's and ESPECIALLY these new er ones today..... *deep breath* WORST BRAND OF CARS EVER!!!!

Around here it’s drive by people who want to show-off and make others think they have money . It’s what all the C-Class drivers moved on to when the C-class was too mainstream. It doesn’t look very good and it doesn’t sound very nice.

So when are you buying one?

He sure is

Yes. Everyone loves to hate FCA but this is cheaper than a new S4 Stinger . New vs used is kinda bullshit but for a $50k $35k sedan it has 400+hp and the dealer already brought up CPO.

The worst possible deal in luxury car. The infortainment is just a reskin of Chrysler’s, the build quality is shit and it is less reliable than an Audi allroad.

Get a Stinger; it is better in every way and you save a lot of money.
Or spend the same amount of money and get an S7, or an M550I
I’m saying it in an unbiased way: I've driven the Quattroporte and the Stinger; the stinger is much better except in the noise part... but nothing Borla can't fix.

I’m trying to rationalize buying a 222 and keeping my 220 on the road simultaneously. I think I’m gonna pick up a W222 within the next few years, but i don’t know if I should get a ~2016 S550 now or wait until the ‘18 S63 are more affordable. I test drove an E550 and it was nice, but I think I’m gonna stick with an S class.

Especially since they finally added a leather dash!

There are many better ways to spend your $$$.
Like buying a Golf R for $40k , and setting an additional $40k on fire.

The newer ones have a much better looking interior, build quality seems to be better as well.
And I’m surprised no one has brought this up yet but, it’s not a Ferrari engine.......its a Pentastar with 2 turbos. The V8's and the 2.9 V6 in QV are Ferrari, but not this one.
